As promised yesterday, here we go, my post about comedians / actors who are simply not funny. I’ve actually been keeping a list for a while now of people who I can’t stand. Maybe I have a weird sense of humor or something else, as it seems the rest of the world thinks these people are absolutely hilarious. I disagree.
First up, my most disliked person, Will Ferrell. I absolutely can not stand him! The only thing that he ever did I even remotely liked was his Spartan Cheerleader sketches on Saturday Night Live… and to be honest, if it wasn’t for Cheri Oteri being hot, I wouldn’t have cared much for these sketches either. His appearance in Elf is when I realized I couldn’t stand the guy. I painfully sat through this movie and will never do it again. Absolutely terrible! And it only gets worse from here… Anchorman, Talladega Nights and the latest upcoming movie, Blades of Glory. Granted, his co-start Jon Heder was great in Napoleon Dynamite, he hasn’t done anything good since then. The previews for this movie on tv are what inspired me to make this post. Soo lame, but I’m sure it will be another box office hit.
Next up, Owen Wilson. While not quite as bad as Will Ferrell, I still don’t like this guy one bit. His methods of comedy just aren’t funny. Zoolander (perhaps the worst movie ever produced) awakened my dislike for him and just like Ferrell, it has only gotten worse. I will admit I have not seen many of his movies, but from his appearances on late night talk shows… nope, not funny in the least bit.
Ben Stiller… another Zoolander product that is just terrible. He wasn’t that bad in There’s Something About Mary, but ever since Zoolander, I have to change the channel when he is on and try my best to avoid all of his movies.
I don’t want to drag this post out too long, so to keep things short… a few other people I dislike:Â Jon Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, Vince Vaughn, George Carlin and Carlos Mencia.
Now, on to something more positive: real comedians and quality actors! Yes, these are the people I think deserve their fame because, well, simply put, they are hilarious!
Eddie Murphy. I really first noticed Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor. His style is genius and I can’t get enough of it. Some of his better works include the Dr. Dolittle series (sure they movies weren’t that great, but he made them funny), Life (one of my favorite movies) and the Shrek series.  Absolute comedic genius!
Martin Lawrence is another one of my favorite actors. I never got into his television series, but movies like Bad Boy, Life, Big Momma’s House, Black Knight and National Security are priceless! I’ve heard his latest work, Wild Hogs, is good as well.
Will Smith also ranks at the top of my list. He is a household name from his work in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and has went on to produce such greats as Bad Boys and Independence Day. I personally did not care too much for the Men in Black series. But perhaps the great thing I like about Will Smith is his ability to play non-comedic roles, such as The Pursuit of Happyness (can’t wait to see this one). A very well-rounded actor indeed.
There are also a number of stand-up comedians that I love as well. One of the greatest comedians of all time, Mitch Hedberg, passed away almost one year ago to the day. Many people have not heard his material, and that is a true shame.  Next up, Dane Cook. Dane has really made a name for himself the past year or so and his fame has been fully earned. His stand-up is gut-busting and will have you laughing for hours on end. Dave Attell is another great comedian, although some of his material is pretty “graphic” heh. Sarah Silverman - not the funniest person alive, but she has a unique way about her comedy that I like… and is pretty smokin’ hot too lol.
I am sure there are others that I have left out, and if I remember any in the near future, I will make another post about them. So, what do you think? Agree, disagree with my opinions? Let’s hear it!
