Ashley and I have been friends since we were kids, but since we live so far apart (about 8 hours), we rarely get to hang out together. Adam and I took a trip to visit her about two years ago, and next month, she is planning to head down my way for a visit. Should be fun!

It’s been about five months since I posted my last installment of Show Us Your OCIA.net Shirt. Why the delay?

Well I really didn’t get the results I had hoped with the project. I sent out a ton of t-shirts (free of charge) to bloggers and some of my local friends. The goal of the project was to have these people pose in the shirt, snap some photos, then post them on their blog. This would generate traffic to my blog, and they would get a free shirt.

Overall I had a pretty good turnaround rate. I can only think of about four people that didn’t make good on their promise, which is to be expected.

Sooo… last week, I was chatting with Derek on AIM and we got on the subject of t-shirts. Turns out, I had a spare shirt in his size so I sent it his way.

Derek made good on his promise and made a nice blog post with a few photos and some nice linkage for OCIA.net. Thanks to Derek for the great post!

After two weeks of trying to meet up with my friend “midget”, the stars finally aligned and I was able to get her to pose in an OCIA.net Shirt. Stupid me left her shirt in the back of Keith’s car, so she had to sport my shirt for the pics.

The pics didn’t really turn out as well as I had hoped, but eh, it’ll do until I can get her shirt delivered. She had just come in from Florida that evening and was a bit tired from the drive back

Thomas over at Thomas De Maesschalck DOT COM is the latest to show off his new OCIA.net Shirt with the rest of the world!

Thomas also runs a tech site similar to OCIA.net called DarkVision Hardware. Strangely enough I met Thomas through the blogsphere, although I was familiar with his tech site well before that.

BTW, Thomas lives in Belgium. He ordered his shirt from here in the U.S., selected one of the cheapest shipping methods and received it just 2.5 days later; nice!

Kiwi and Sarah came down today for my birthday, so I got her to snap a few quick pics with the shirt. I managed to leave the small size shirts in Keith’s car, so again she had to wear my shirt. Either way, lookin’ pretty slick!
